Kia ora, my name is Sarah Macdonald and Intercultural Connections is my practice.

If you’re working to strengthen belonging in your team or community — and you want to do it with care — you’re in the right place.

I support people to navigate diversity, power, and conflict with respect, clarity, and compassion.

Grounded in social justice and trauma-informed ways of working, I use storytelling, reflective practice, and open kōrero to support changes that are practical and lasting.

Weaving an intercultural connection

Resilient Futures Limited

I am one half of Resilient Futures Limited, co-directed by myself and Daniel Fernandez Gonzalez, to integrate social inclusion with environmental sustainability.

While I focuses on intercultural learning, facilitation, and community transformation, Resilient Futures extends this mahi into the sustainability and systems realm as well.

Combining technical carbon and building science with intercultural and community-centred approaches.

Together, these connected ventures support a shared vision:

A regenerative, inclusive future where environmental and social resilience grow side by side.

Connecting people, place, and planet through inclusion, justice, and sustainability.

What people say

"I cannot recommend Sarah at Intercultural Connections highly enough! Her commitment to fostering understanding and collaboration is truly inspiring; I've seen her take a room full of people who arrived feeling tense and defensive and then work some kind of...magic?! That same room full of people ended up laughing together over shared experiences in a way that didn't seem possible at the start. Her insights and experience have enhanced my own ability to navigate intercultural interactions with grace, and her down-to-earth approach makes the learning process fun. She's knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely dedicated to making a positive impact. If you’re looking to deepen your cultural awareness and improve your ability to connect with others in a more meaningful way, look no further!"
